Summary
We are looking for passionate waiters/waitresses driven by the desire to satisfy customers. They will be responsible for taking orders and serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
The incumbent will be responsible for creating and serving restaurant guests/servers in accordance with La Bodega policies, procedures, and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting, sitting, and presenting guests with the menu
- Informing guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
- Suggesting food and beverages to clients and should be able to upsell.
- Taking orders from guests accurately
- Anticipating and promptly addressing guests’ needs.
- Demonstrate accurate knowledge of all menu items and be able to assist guests accordingly.
- Filling in for absent staff as needed
- Punching orders on the POS machine accurately
- Coordinating with the kitchen staff & bar staff to ensure smooth operations and guests’ satisfaction.
- Serving food and beverages as per the course of order.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Clean, organize and sanitize workstations as per La Bodega's guidelines.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as and when required.
Education
- Diploma /Certificate in Food and Beverage, Hospitality Management, culinary arts or related.
More Details on Experience
- At least 3 years experience in service at a reputable hotel/restaurant
- Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Knowledge of culinary terminologies
- Tech-savvy with a working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, Micros POS).

- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Able to lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays throughout an entire shift
- Able to balance a serving tray on one hand while distributing orders to customers with the other
- Able to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift or more
- Able to bend, stoop and reach while carrying serving trays.
- Visual acuity to see restaurant menus, take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate the restaurant area, kitchen, and other facility areas
- Good communication skills and professionalism while handling clients and colleagues
- Able to work with flexibility in a continuous schedule of days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Basic mathematical computation skills
- Excellent personal hygiene and grooming habits.
- Customer service oriented with a lively, energetic, and outgoing personality.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Have a high degree of emotional intelligence and a high level of self-confidence.
- Be able to remain rational and calm under pressure.
