Job Title: Rider

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

The Rider is responsible for distributing products promptly to our customers. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the Company in a professional and cost-effective manner in accordance with the Policies, Procedures and Standards laid out by Management to ensure customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pack related products and deliver to customer’s premises.
• Ride motorcycle to deliver orders in time.
• Document and keep record of information on pick-ups and deliveries.
• Keeping the motorcycle clean and in good working order.
• Receiving orders from potential clients.
• Manoeuvre around town to ensure fast and economical deliveries.
• Ensure all deliveries are done on time and feedback given in case of delays.
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship with clients at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of all departmental equipment and ensure they are used only as intended.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• In addition to the above, the Rider may be given such other duties, as the Management may deem necessary.

• 1 year or more experience in a similar position in the Hospitality industry or with an online food ordering and delivery platform.
• At Least 1-year riding experience within Nairobi.
• Valid driver’s license with an endorsement for riding a motorcycle.

SPECIAL JOB CONDITIONS

• Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing less than or equal to 10 kilograms without assistance.

• A basic knowledge of motorcycle maintenance
• Strong organizational and work coordinating skills to handle multiple assignments andprojects simultaneously.

• Professionally groomed.
• Good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Must have very high ethical and integrity standards
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrates strong safety awareness at all times
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize among different tasks for effective output
• Enthusiastic team player, able to motivate the team when challenging situations arise
• Exhibits maturity and sound judgment
• Customer service; by ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of professional, efficient and effective assistance
