Summary

This position will be responsible for increasing sales volume by aggressively seeking new customers. We need an outgoing, hard working person who has top-notch communication and sales skills, strong desire to succeed, ability to build relationships with pig/poultry/dairy owners and Nutrition Consultants, and be able to travel within the territory as needed from a base operation.

Full product line-up for pig/poultry/dairy feeds and nutrition needs, as well as multi-species offering.  We don’t need someone to run rations all day, we need someone that loves to sell!

Pig/Poultry/Dairy Nutrition and production focus, farm visits, unique product offering of highly effective well recognized products.

Description

  • According to customer needs, set and drive online sales and act a social media manager.
  • Generate and takes orders from customers, handles requests for quotations and follows up on requests for product information.
  • Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone or email to sell productions and services which result to be productive and profitable.
  • Develop a method to follow up on all quotations.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and timely sales information.
  • Overcome business and technical objections of prospective customers.
  • Liaises with all staff to ensure that sales activities are met in a timely, and efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring company sales, marketing and feed programs to enhance and maximize poultry production and performance.
  • Responsible for being familiar with product information; characteristics and product use recommendations.
  • Responsible for communicating sales, which may affect production and inventory to appropriate personnel.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Maintains knowledge of, contact with, existing customers and potential prospects on a regular, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Maintains up-to-date information and knowledge on sales and market trends, product performance and industry information.
  • Attend trade shows as necessary as it is productive and contributes to increases sales.
  • Assist in the preparation of the sales function operating budget, capital budget and operation plan.
  • Informs the firm Team Leader immediately of concerns and/ or problems.
  • Acts as a representative at key industry meetings and functions.

 

Education
Bachelor Degree In Agricultural Science

Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science or equivalent experience.

More Details on Experience

  • Animal husbandry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer and prospects considered an asset.
  • The person have to be self-motivated, professional, strong industry knowledgeable, and drive with interest in pig/poultry/dairy feed sales to expand the current local market share to counties or nationally.
  • Our desired new staff member with have exceptionally strong pig/poultry/dairy knowledge in the areas of nutrition, production, reproduction, animal health, genetics and milking performance with ability to perform tech service walk-throughs, with reports, that position products into dairy customer farms and systems
