Role Purpose

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation service. He/ She should coordinate vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repair to ensure vehicle longevity and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle in compliance with safe driving standards. Ensure the vehicle is fueled in time for trips and carries out proper management of fuel supply.

 

Responsibilities (Cleanliness &Visibility, Driving &Maintenance, Vehicle Checks)

• Driving motor vehicles as authorized
• Cleans, polishes and checks vehicle before and after operation to ensure that it is in serviceable condition.
• Or Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle
• Ensuring that the vehicle’s insurance cover is up to date at all times.
• Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, motor oil, water, tyre pressure, battery water and tyre pressure.
• Ensure safety of the passengers and/or goods therein.
• The driver is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean on the outside and inside at all times.
• Maintains good personal hygiene

 

Requirements

• A clean valid driving licence class E.
• Defensive driving skills.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience of professional driving.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Similar skills in Kiswahili and other local languages an advantage.
• Certificate of good conduct.
• First Aid training will be an added advantage.
• Must be polished and street smart.
• Must be familiar with the routes within Nairobi & it's environment.
• Mature and punctual with a good attendance record.
• Flexibility in terms of working hours.
• Must be a person of good health with good eyesight.
• Previous working experience as a personal driver will have an advantage.
• Knowing how to fix cars / mechanics would be an added advantage.

• Defensive driving skills
• First Aid training will be an added advantage.
