Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Human Resources and Admin Assistant
Description
SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to the Finance & Admin manager/department to develop, maintain and refine HR policies and systems to meet company goals and objectives (e.g. Employee Performance, Training & Development, Employee Reward & Motivation, Compensation)
- In collaboration with management, design and develop a company human resource policy
- Ensure that staff are adequately trained, skilled and motivated by identifying training needs and coordinating/conducting training seminars and workshops
- Establish and maintain an effective mechanism for harmonious employee relations by enhancing communication with employees (open door policy)
- Assist in the implementation and management of various staff benefits e.g. medical claims, annual & bereavement leave, maternity leave, insurance(NHIF) and pension (NSSF) etc
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and create awareness of the same among management and employees (company newsletters, posters, meetings)
- Assist in the facilitation and coordination of interviews, recruitment and induction of new staff members
- Where appropriate, liaise and/or advice management on changes and their implementation and provide the necessary tools and techniques
- Prepare periodic reports on employment trends and staffing needs in the organisation
- Handle and sort out any complaints and discrepancies regarding statutory deductions, leave, leave logs
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management in a timely fashion
- Update company forms as necessitated by legislation or employment changes
- Ensure that all personnel files are well maintained and up-to-date
- Any other duty as assigned by management
Education
Bachelor Of Human Resource Management
Degree in Human Resource Management
More Details on Experience
- At least 3 years hands-on experience HR and personnel administration
- Must be able to work well with others, train and supervise staff, handle multiple tasks effectively and organize work,
- Ability to formulate policy, plan budgets, motivate employees, direct activities, evaluate and solve problems.
- Good understanding of budget and cost control
