Neema Hospital (Kahawa Sukari) is hiring a pharmacist.   The main purpose for this position is to provide leadership and contribute to research, prescribing and monitor the running of the Hospital pharmacy.

• Provide leadership in the pharmacy for in & outpatient departments
• Assist in preparation of drug regiments.
• Ensure adequate stock levels and look out for expiries.
• Strict maintenance and documentation of the DDA.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy and drugs.
• Work in close collaboration with clinical functions to ensure delivery of high-quality health services.
• Maintain records such as pharmacy files, patient files, charge system files, inventories and control records for registries of poisons, narcotics or controlled drugs.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review or evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs or drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications or characteristics.
• Order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and maintain stock in pharmacy.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for best practices in the pharmacy department
• Ensures the pharmacy department follows all state and local laws.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as leader.
• Procure consumables(non-pharma) products used in the hospital and collaborate with various suppliers ensuring timely purchases and delivery.
• Oversee quarterly stock take and report on the same to the management.
• Any other tasks as may be delegated by the management

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Proven experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a hospital set-up

• Valid practice license
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills with customer-oriented approach
• Integrity and compassion
