Summary

The U.S. Mission in Nairobi is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of General Services Assistant.

Description

  • Incumbent serves as executive assistant, quality coordinator and analyst, and communications expert within the General Services Office.
  • Under the direction of the S/GSO, maintains all policies for the section and advises the leadership team on required updates.
  • Analyzes available performance data on ICASS service delivery and advises on trends and potential improvements.
  • Supports the GSO team’s communication through maintenance of its Sharepoint site and other communication tools.
  • Serves as sub-cashier for GSO section and timekeeper for one-third of GSO.

Education

  • Education: Successful completion of bachelor’s degree in business management or business administration is required.
  • Language: Level IV English (Fluent, reading/speaking/writing) (This may be tested).

More Details on Experience

  • Minimum of three years of administrative or clerical experience is required, two years of which should be in project coordination/project management.

More Details on Skills

  • Must be able to analyze complex data and interpret them into clear, concise, and manageable use by management.
  • Must be Able to use MS platforms including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
