Summary
To implement and drive sales and marketing strategies for the Company within the assigned regions for all of the company’s products and ensure that monthly sales targets are met.
Description
- Meet monthly and annual set targets
- Hard selling and negotiation of space, airtime including sponsorships and promotions from direct clients
- Maintain effective client service through use of the company’s calling cycle.
- Ensure effective debt collection.
- Provide excellent major account management and in line with this, develop first point contact between the stations and direct clients and use excellent interpersonal skills to keep the business relationships strong.
- Build a formidable and sought after sales team for the assigned brands.
- Acquire new business opportunities to achieve set targets and ensure business growth.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and any other reports as agreed with the Team Leaders
- Ensure that the customer relationship management database is updated daily on all sales activity, meetings, events and customer contacts.
- Conduct yourself in a manner worthy of respect in the company as well as outside the company and ensure that your conduct does not bring the company into disrepute or cause staff to lose respect for your position as a manager or lose faith in your ability to lead. This includes conduct at all company functions.
- Reconcile customers’ accounts on monthly basis and work with Accounts to ensure monthly statements are signed off and dispatched to all credit clients.
- Develop and implement plans for increasing sales volumes and market share;
- Research available business opportunities and identify new leads and new opportunities for advertising by generating and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data;
- Prospect, identify, and quality clients for new business opportunities by providing advertising solutions and creative solutions and presentations that are unique to each client;
- Maintain and grow business contacts for existing and potential clients;
- Perform cost-benefit and need analysis of existing and potential clients;
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction;
- Ensure client-focused selling by providing excellent customer service to existing clients to both retain and grow the accounts as well as maintaining interactions with potential new business and clients;
- Demonstrate value proposition for clients;
- Analyze the territory/ market's potential, track sales and status reports;
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services;
Education
- Diploma or a Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Sales or related field
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations
