As a Factory Manager in a food processing factory, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of the facility. Description
1. Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets, while maintaining product quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and control production processes, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and improve production strategies, workflows, and systems to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure smooth operations and timely production.
2. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled workforce, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance.
- Foster a safe and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, morale, and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
3. Resource Management:
- Manage production schedules, material requirements, and inventory levels to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other production inputs.
- Monitor equipment performance, maintenance, and repair activities to minimize disruptions and maximize uptime.
- Optimize the utilization of machinery, equipment, and labor to achieve cost-effective production.
4. Quality and Safety Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to investigate and resolve product quality issues or customer complaints.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements, implementing best practices and ensuring continuous improvement.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and analyze production reports, performance metrics, and KPIs to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, quality control, safety, and personnel management.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans for the factory.
Education
- Bachelor's/diploma degree in food science/ business administration/ or a related field.
