Location: Kahawa West
Salary: 300,000 negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
The Export Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the end-to-end export operations. The role ensures efficient export logistics, regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, customs clearance, and maintenance of cold chain integrity to guarantee timely delivery of products to international customers while adhering to company standards and international regulations.

Export Operations
- Manage end-to-end export operations from order receipt, processing and final delivery.
- Coordinate export schedules with Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Develop and monitor export shipment plans to ensure timely customer deliveries.
- Ensure all export activities comply with company policies and international standards.
- Establish and monitor export operational KPIs and service standards
Export Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee preparations and verification of export documentation including: Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Health Certificates, Phytosanitary Certificates, Bills of Lading, Customs Declarations, Export Permits and Licenses
- Monitor country-specific export requirements and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate export inspections and certification processes with relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate export records and audit documentation for respective statutory periods
Logistics and Distribution Management
- Coordinate shipping schedules with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers and manage relationships and performance of logistics service providers
- Manage customs clearance and border processing activities.
- Ensure maintenance of cold chain requirements for perishable products.
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively resolve delivery issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce export lead times and logistics costs.
- Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions and regulatory changes.
- Drive process automation and digitization initiatives within export operations.
Stakeholder Coordination and Customer Service
- Serve as the primary operational liaison for international customers and distributors.
- Coordinate with Finance on payment terms and shipment documentation requirements.
- Work closely with Legal and Regulatory teams on export contracts and compliance matters.
- Provide regular updates to customers on order status and shipment progress.
- Resolve customer complaints relating to export operations and deliveries.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
- Certification in Export Management or International Trade Law.
More Details on Experience
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in export operations, logistics or international trade
- Proven experience managing international markets and P&L responsibility.
- Experience in FMCG, food processing, agribusiness, or manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing perishable product exports and cold chain logistics.
