Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assisting Advocates in preparing and compiling conveyancing documents.
- Conducting property searches, obtaining consents and approvals for conveyancing transactions.
- Filing conveyancing documents in various land registries for registration and monitoring the progress of registration process.
- Coordinating with the department of lands officials and other stakeholders to facilitate expeditious registration of documents while adhering to legal requirements.
- Updating Advocates on the progress of transactions.
- Organizing and filing documents, maintaining accurate records, and carrying out general office duties.
- Informing advocates about any operational changes in land registries, department of survey, county offices and land control boards.
- Generally performing such other duties as may be assigned by the Advocates from time to time.
Education
- Degree / Diploma in a relevant field.
More Details on Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in handling conveyancing matters.
- A person with the highest level of integrity.
- Ability to handle and/or manage various conveyancing transactions.
- Extensive experience in dealing with land registries, Survey Department, Land Control Boards, physical planning departments and county offices
- Proficient computer skills and a thorough understanding of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience in dealing with the new online registration procedures on the National Land Management Information System (Ardhisasa)
