Our Client in the Automotive Industry is looking for an Automotive Technician

Job Title: Automotive Technician

Department/Division: Aftersales

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, the technician will diagnose and work on all vehicle electrical & mechanical systems including engine management within the set Company SOPs to ensure successful and high quality repair of vehicles, exemplary customer service and achievement of set Company Performance Targets

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Perform routine (360 degree) automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations.
2. Carry out analysis an analysis on vehicle functional condition by listening to vehicle operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components and repairing body damage.
3. Confirm customer receiving memo/job card order contents after Inspecting vehicle preventive maintenance, conducting extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
4. Promptly handle customer complaints and provide closure within the 72 hours IEA target.
5. Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
6. In liaison with the Service Advisor; maintain legible and accurate Job card vehicle records for both the customer and for the Company.
7. Ensure all customer and company vehicles including workshop tools and equipment are handled appropriately, exercising due care and control. Comply with Company Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices.
8. Undertake accurate and proper PDI verification and verify maintenance storage updates to ensure Isuzu’s CSI/PSFU targets are met at all times.
9. Undertake routine learning and development job knowledge by participating in ISUZU training; educational opportunities; reading technical publications and acquiring necessary qualifications.
10. Maintain thorough and up to date knowledge of products whilst attending Isuzu technical training courses. Participate and undertake in Performance Management process and scheduled Learning and Isuzu trainings.

• Three (3) years of automotive related experience in leading automotive institution.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools, equipment and ability to read and write electrical schematics a must
