Our client in the tours and travel industry is recruiting an accountant.
SALARY: 60,000
Description
- Manage payroll and statutory deductions.
- Prepare and file tax returns.
- Accurate record keeping and accounts reconciliation.
- Review contracts and process payments.
- Manage budgets and cash flows.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting legislation.
- Prepare and analyze financial records and statements.
- Oversee banking operations and reconcile bank statements.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
- Conduct bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports
- Ensure statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
- Assist with internal controls, audits, and financial documentation
- Collaborate with operations for cost tracking and revenue reporting
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA Part II or higher
More Details on Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Accountant within a Tours & Travel company
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and ability to work independently
- Previous experience in the travel industry is required.
