Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the deputy General Manager, the Primary role function will be to take charge of all aspects of the operation and guest cycle of the Village. This includes management of the property itself, handling owner’s concerns and be responsible for the maintenance, housekeeping and security of the Property. In addition your role encompasses managing all aspects of Service, Product Quality, Purchasing and Supply, Departmental Stock Control, HR and Sales and Marketing to ensure that the group remains a market leader in its field.
Duties and other Responsibilities:
• Planning and organising accommodation, catering and other hotel services and liaising closely with Village owners with regards to the rental, maintenance and upgrade of their apartments and surrounding grounds.
• Meeting and Greeting customers and dealing with Customer Complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
• Be consistently present at the Harbour restaurant and pool side during all meal services to maintain the Company image.
• Ensure Departmental Stock control is efficiently handled.
• Manage all HR issues including recruitment, inductions, training, appraisals and deployment.
• Revenue generation in increased Food and Beverage sales, monitor commissions, sales analysis, yield rate management, develop promotions and internal and external marketing.
• Monitor all Purchasing and Supplies to maintain the highest quality of products.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Village reservation system.
• Ensure that departmental Operating Procedures are adhered to and improved upon.
Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications:
• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management.
• Minimum of Ten years experience in a similar management role.
• Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, front office, housekeeping, sales and marketing and financial reporting.
• Must possess excellent Computer skills and have experience in Fidelio, Materials Control and Sun systems.
• Possess excellent PR and Communication skills.
• Have a proven record in Leadership and motivation of a large workforce
• Must have a solid understanding of procedures and standards across all departments.
• Be Proactive and Innovative.
• Excellence in written and spoken English.
• Excellent references essential.
