Introduction

To manage, implement and track brand plans through effective communication and execution.

This situation calls for the need to effectively execute agreed brand plans for growth in brand share.
This situation often necessitates working outside normal working hours to plan, organize, and to meet deadlines.
DIMENSION
This job is responsible for :
Brand Management 1.Planning and Implementation
Develop annual brand plans aimed at achieving business goals.
Develop activity plans for new products and brand plans for existing products.
Develop brand packs for the Area Customer Service Managers (ACSMs) and distributor sales representatives.
Track brand health performance and outline gaps identified to grow the brands.
Identify unique sponsorships that will grow brand awareness and trials.
Generate advertising briefs to the agency and ensure timely delivery of creative work.
Ensure consistent look and feel of distributor and retail outlets.
Ensure timely internal brand communication to staff before any external communication.
2. Coordination
• Act as the custodian of all brands, their images, their communication including advertising, promotions, sponsorship, label design etc
• Keep track of competition activities and pre-empt with own brand activities.
• Generate and coordinate brand communication campaigns and programmes.
• Promote brand awareness in partnership with other functional departments.
• Ensure A & P expenditure for all brands are being effectively managed within budget in order to maximize return on investment.
• Monitor brand availability in trade and liaise / advise production & procurement.
3. Advisory role to management
Prepare and submit timely reports on brand issues
Prepare and present brand issues that require cross functional involvement.
4. Execution
Research sharing / cascading
5. Supplier- client chain
Ensure good networking relationship and communication with key supplier clients.
Develop key client’s database
6. Annual Operations Plan (AOP)
Develop brand budgets
Monitor planned expenditures are within budget
RELATIONSHIPS
Relates to Head of Marketing (HOM) for overall supervision and guidance
Relates with the entire management
Relates with Customer Service Managers and Area Customer Service Managers on marketing execution issues ( Trade promotions, Research, Merchandise execution, Point of Sale, ATL - BTL)
Relates with Logistics & Procurement department when raising purchase requisitions, advice on storage of marketing materials, audits and quality of supplied marketing materials
Relates with Human Resource on issues concerning personnel and internal brand communications (Values / Mission / Vision / Corporate Affairs).
Relates with Finance Department for Strategy, AOP development and control, and accountability of various expenses.
