To prepare, develop and analyze management accounting information to support effective decision making in the business.

Minimum Requirements

Technical competencies

  1. University degree preferably in a business/ statistics related course. 
  2.  A professional qualification with an acknowledged accounting body such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  3. A minimum of 8 years work experience, 3 of which should have been in a manufacturing setting at a managerial level or        level of Team leader/ manager in an audit firm.
  4. Robust computer knowledge, extenstive exposure to an ERP environment, advanced reporting tools and very good knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  5. High level of analytical, performance management skills and attention to detail.

3.    Ability to develop people and provide them with opportunities to perform at their full potential.

Job Specification

  1. Coordination and Preparation of annual budget, monthly forecasts and Strategic business plans
  2. Preparation, analysis and distribution of monthly management accounts,
  3. Preparation, analysis and distribution of performance statistics/KPIs to Heads of Departments
  4. Perform value chain analysis for new and existing products for determination of selling price and review of existing price in line with company policy. 
  5. Periodically review business trends in line with external economic indicators and advice the management accordingly
  6. Collaborate with operating departments to identify risks and opportunities and propose mitigating actions to deliver target business results
  7. organize annual stock taking exercise in line with the company policy. Analysis of stock variances and issuance of stock take report
  8. Provide leadership to management accounting staff
  9. Provide accurate, accessible and timely financial information and reports which contribute to improved quality of the company’s financial decision making
  10. Carry out any other duties assigned by Management
