Position Title :Midwife

Number of positions: One (1)

Duty Station :Somalia –Wajid and Hudur

Contract duration: 3.5 Months

Action Contre la Faim (Action Against Hunger) has been conducting humanitarian programs in Somalia since May 1992. Currently, Action Against Hunger is conducting its humanitarian activities in Somalia focused on treating and preventing malnutrition, increasing access to clean water and appropriate sanitation, strengthening the food-security, livelihoods and thus boosting the resilience of communities in Somalia as well as emergency response via program bases in Somalia.Organisational background:

Scope of Responsibility:

The Midwife is responsible for the Implementation of all components of the reproductive health policy in the Action Against Hunger mission; ensure supervision and training of a team and Obstetrical activities


The Midwife reports hierarchically to the OTP Nurse and will be based in Somalia-Yeed.

Objective 1:     Medical activities and patient care

Obstetrical activities

STI (Sexually transmitted infection)


Objective 2:     Pharmacy and medical equipment management

Objective 3:     Organization and team management

Objective 4:     Monitoring, analysis and reporting
