Our Client in the Solar Industry seeks to recruit a Technical Manager.
He/she will be responsible for installation of the Company’s products to highest standards of quality
• Responsible for responsive after-sales service / trouble-shooting, and selling of service packages like AMC through out Kenya
• To propose solar thermal and PV solutions for industrial and residential segments.

Minimum Requirements

8 – 10 years senior managerial working experience.

·     Bachelors holder (Energy Engineering, MBA a Plus).

·     Excellent knowledge in system sizing and design (Solar PV & thermal).

·     ERC T3, SWH Licence, PV licence is preferred.

·     Experience in managing team and time management.

·     Disciplined worker, can operate according to Company schedule.

·     Organised thinker, neat in his / her work.

·     Self-starter with initiative.

·     Able to travel at short notice.

·     Engineering degree.

·     Knowledge of CAD is preferred.

·     Experience in managing a large team of field-level personnel.

·     Strong leader able to motivate and lead the technical team to success.

·     Can present himself / herself well and properly represent the company.


Job Specification

Build and manage a strong technical team for installation and after-sales service for residential and commercial systems

·     Recruit and train the technical team and manage them to results

·     Responsible for engineering drawings for Sunstream Projects and layouts.

·     Ensure a proper site survey done for all systems before the despatches are made.

·       Execute all commercial and residential installations across entire company, and report on actual against planned installations.

·     Execute preventative maintenance visits across entire company, and ensure delivered on-time.

·       Work with Customer Care / Operations to ensure all customer complaints closed-out within the agreed time frame.

·     Ensure all branches have required technicians to meet their installation and service obligations.

·     Establish a system of auditing quality of all installations, and after sales service.

·       To report to the Vice President Africa on a daily basis and VP-Business Development on technical issues.

·     To meet high ethical standards in line with the company culture.

·     Report back to VP Africa any serious customer complaints identified in the field.

·     Get fully involved in bigger thermal and PV installations.

·     Complete all Company documentation in a clear, consistent and timely manner and return to branch.
