• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in implementing and administrating network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within a Windows Server 2000/2003 environment
• Set-up and troubleshoot firewalls on multiple platforms
• Setting up, troubleshooting and managing Cisco, HP, Dell and other network switches, routers, and VPNs
• Setting up, troubleshooting, and managing Wireless Access Points
• Familiar with HP, Dell server platforms, Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, and Active Directory

• Desktop/laptop installation and problem resolution in a Windows XP/7 environment
• Experience with providing quality customer support and problem resolution for all platforms described

 

• Excellent customer communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Current CCNA, CCNP or DCNP is strongly desired
• Knowledge of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking

• Experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
• Troubleshooting focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems
• Familiarity of common network monitoring and security utilities
• Desire to learn new technologies and seek out current industry knowledge
• Flexibility to travel 25-50% of the time
• Design, configure, deploy, test, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure and equipment to specifications required for systems that require heavy network resources, such as HD Video, etc.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve various types of network problems
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
• Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations
• Maintain and support the company’s LAN/WAN environment
• Maintain Windows and Linux systems, business applications, anti-virus protection, email, and authentication administration
• Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software 
upgrades, and routine hardware configuration
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
• Obtain and maintain required certifications for partnership with key vendors
• Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of PC workstations, servers, network equipment, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment
