Department.
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Applied Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering
Operational knowledge of laboratory Systems.
2 years experience in an analytical laboratory within a pharmaceutical production company will be an
added advantage
Excellent report writing skills
Impeccable integrity
Critical reasoning and analytical skills
Job Specification
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine analysis of raw materials, finished
products, accelerated and carry out stability studies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Carry out accurate, efficient and timely testing of water, raw materials, finished products and stability
studies in accordance with approved procedures.
Carry out internal calibration of laboratory equipment and preparation/standardization of laboratory
reagents. Maintain performance and servicing records for Laboratory equipment as well as co-ordinate
service and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables (reagents, solvents, glassware etc.), laboratory
equipment replacement spare parts and reference standards.
Write and update Standard Operating Procedures for use in the laboratory
Carry out self audits in the laboratory to ensure compliance to set standards and Good Manufacturing
Practices.
Perform Environmental Health and Safety activities in the Laboratory to ensure compliance to set
standards.
Perform analytical method and process validations as per set standards
Prepare certificates of analysis as required.
