Introduction

Minimum Requirements
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS&EDUCATION
Registered Nurse with significant phlebotomy experience.
Must have blood bank experience including donor counseling.
High level of self motivation, leadership and inter personal skills.
Job Specification
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Consultant Haematologist the successful candidate will be responsible
for the day to day management of the blood donor unit and blood bank management
KEY TASKS
Assess suitability of potential blood donors.
Collect blood units from donors.
Ensure appropriate storage of donated blood.
Maintain an up-to-date blood donor data base.
Prepare monthly blood bank unit reports.
